How does regulating valves work?
Regulating valves, including control valves and various regulating valve types such as pressure regulating valves, can be operated either manually on site or remotely in the following ways:
Adjusting a regulator on the backside of the diaphragm to set the air pressure to a fixed pressure set point, which is a typical function of a pressure regulating valve.
Using pneumatic actuators controlled by a positioner, a common setup for control valves.
Utilizing a digital electropneumatic process controller, which enhances the capabilities in modern automated systems
